Teach Northamptonshire

Retained to support Northamptonshire's 330+ schools and fifteen teaching schools I currently manage the Teach Northamptonshire recruitment campaign. Recruiting for trainee teaching and qualified teaching and leadership staff countywide, this campaign targets both near neighbours and London, promoting Northamptonshire as the place to succeed in teaching, plus the attractive lifestyle offer. More than 5,000 applications have been processed since the 2017 launch.

Northamptonshire
Britain's Best Surprise

Launched March 2017, Britain’s Best Surprise is the county’s biggest ever campaign to attract visitors, positioning Northamptonshire as a world class visitor destination. Initiated by Lord Lieutenant David Laing and supported by Deputy Lieutenants and partners countywide, the objective is to significantly raise Northamptonshire’s profile and put the county ‘on the map’ in a tourism context. Our aim is to increase the value of the local visitor economy by 50% to £1.5 billion annually; Northamptonshire currently attracts 20m visitors pa (STEAM 2016).

Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership

NEP was a Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) with a clear objective: to increase the prosperity of Northamptonshire's businesses. We worked in collaboration with Northamptonshire businesses and partners and saw this joint working as an essential part of our strategy. Whilst at NEP I had leadership responsibility for stakeholder engagement and campaigns including:

Inward Investment & Priority sectors; Motorsport & High Performance Engineering, Logistics, Food & Drink, Creative Industries.
Place campaigns including Love Northamptonshire & Destination Nene Valley & Future Workforce.

Love Northamptonshire

Whilst working as Head of Communications at NEP I set up and championed the Love Northamptonshire campaign. Engaging target companies in London and the South East this campaign helped secure investments in locations countywide. Love Northamptonshire was also instrumental in connecting young people locally with businesses on their doorstep through the spin off Bright Futures initiative.

Northamptonshire
Growth Hub

Whilst working as Head of Communications at NEP I helped establish and was a strong supporter of the Northamptonshire Growth Hub. Responsible for website development, collateral and audience engagement for this partnership project with Northamptonshire County Council and the University of Northampton I had strategic responsibility for the launch and subsequently, as a project board member, was responsible for lead generation for a range of business support programmes including funding for innovation and growth.
